I shaved my armpits and legs for the first time in about 13 years. (Okay, I shaved my armpits ONCE in between all that time.) I did it on a whim. I guess I wanted to add a little glamour in my life.

It took an awfully long time to shave myself and I'm barely hairy. Whenever I've told people that I don't shave, they say, "Really? I couldn't tell. You barely have any hair on you." But boy, I was getting impatient when I was shaving my legs and I don't understand how some women have been doing this their entire lives. It's too time consuming! Just like painting fingernails and toenails takes up too much precious time which is why I barely ever do it. I am just too busy rushing around to wait for my nails to dry and to be oh so careful so as to not nick myself with a razor. I have a horrible shaving accident scar on my right thigh, complete with spider veins that happened way back in the eighth grade. That injury was a result of me trying to hurry up the process. (I only shaved my lower legs this time.)

I raised my arms in the mirror and I don't feel glamorous at all. Instead, I feel strangely naked without my leg and armpit hair.

The worst part about this whole thing is that I now have to do maintenance shaving. Otherwise I'll get all itchy and prickly. Yech.
