Later in the day, while shooting for the series River Visions, (I just might change the name, btw) D and I found ourselves alone in the swimming hole. She wore a black slip and was splashing, laughing, and swimming while I photographed her. Her hair was long and wet. She looked heavenly.

We looked up at one point and saw a young, lean, muscular man come down the trail. When I tried to say hello, he happened to look down so he didn't see. Laid out on a log in the middle of the river, he kept a respectful distance. I'd look over at him and see that he was stealing shy glances our way while D and I were splashing about. He didn't stay long, perhaps he felt uncomfortable. But when he made his way back up the trail with a bicycle on his arm, D and I stopped what we were doing and silently watched him go. "Goodbye man with the nice lean body!" I said just low enough so that he couldn't hear. "Oh!" We both said wistfully when we saw that he was gone.
